Institution Building Days bring together EU and neighbourhood partners to discuss Twinning, TAIEX and SIGMA

The annual meeting for Institution Building instruments, jointly organised by the EU's DG Enlargement and EuropeAid goes into its second day in Brussels today, bringing together the National Contact Points for the Twinning, TAIEX and SIGMA instruments from the beneficiary partners and the 27 EU Member States.
 
The annual Institution Building Days represent an opportunity for exchange of experiences and open discussions, facilitating networking and sharing of best practices between stakeholders. The meeting aims to provide information on policy perspectives, to present developments specific to the instruments discussed, and to provide a forum to exchange opinions and suggestions on the use of the three instruments.
 
All three instruments support institution building in partner countries. They differ from classic technical assistance in that they provide public expertise, with civil servants from public administrations of EU Member States, who interact with their counterparts in each partner country.(EU Neighbourhood Info)
