The EU-Israel Action Plan is a political document laying out the strategic objectives of cooperation between Israel and the EU, setting out ambitious aims to build ties in new areas and supporting Israel’s objectives for further integration into European economic and social structures. The Action Plan, adopted in April 2005 and covering a three year timeframe, also aims to encourage cooperation on non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the fight against terrorism as well as to prevent and resolve conflicts in the region and beyond.
