An increasing number of Ukrainians describe their country’s relations with the EU as very or fairly good, while more and more also say that Ukraine has benefited from the EU’s current policies. These were just some of the findings to emerge in the third in a series of polls carried out at six-month intervals between December 2009 and November 2010. The results are part of the EU-funded Opinion Polling and Research (OPPOL) project, funded under the 2007-2010 European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) regional information and communication programme.
Among other findings, the latest poll found that more and more Ukrainians agree that their country and the EU have sufficient common values to be able to cooperate. There has also been an increase in the space of six months in the number of Ukrainians who believe that the EU can help bring peace and stability to the region.
