€56.5 million call for standard projects launched under CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme

Following an official announcement of the Joint Managing Authority, the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme has launched a second call for standard projects worth a total of €56.5 million.

A press release said the cross-border cooperation projects would address the 4 Programme Priorities and 10 related Measures. The programme priorities, and the indicative amount for each are outlined in the call for proposalsas follows:
1. Promotion of socio-economic development and enhancement of territories (€5.8 million)
2. Promotion of environmental sustainability at the basin level (€8.1 million)
3. Promotion of better conditions and modalities for ensuring the mobility of persons, goods and capitals (€14.1 million)
4. Promotion of cultural dialogue and local governance (€28.6 million)

The procedure to apply for a grant consists of two phases: submission of a Concept Note by 29 February 2012; and subsequent presentation of a full Application Form (only for preselected projects following the evaluation of the Concept Notes).

A series of 10 events is being organized across the region by the programme to offer opportunities for interested actors to get familiar with rules of the call, ask questions on the Application Pack, meet other organizations and share project ideas. Registrations are now open for the events.

The Programme website includes two tools to support the preparation of project proposals and partnerships building: the projects ideas section to help applicants looking for partners or those wishing to promote their project idea; and the questions and answers section which contains questions relating to the call for proposals.

Applicants can submit any question by using the ‘submit a question’ function, and the ‘Questions and Answers’ section is updated on a regular basis.

The text of the call, Guidelines for Applicants and Application Pack are available on the programme website here.
