Human rights and democracy - Fostering the next generation of Human Rights Leadership in Israel

"The benefits from volunteering are double. We contribute to the development of civic society and we develop ourselves. Our awareness is higher, we gain important experience, and at the same time our activity contributes to the growth of civil society."

Nidaa, a student at the University of
Haifa

The project aims at building a growing learning community of human rights activists across the country by linking human rights organisations with universities and colleges. This link is established through the development and support of human rights courses throughout Israel. The human rights courses promote the civic and political participation of students and faculty members and thereby strengthen civil society in the area of human rights.
